KANNAGAWA UNDERWATER

Over two days I moved down a section of the Kannagawa River as it flows down from the mountains and through the town of Onishi, Japan.  Over ten kilometers, I stopped approximately every kilometer to take underwater photographs at four depths: 200cm, 150cm, 100cm and 50cm.  The following series shows those images, as well as an above-water image of each location.  The camera was put on a timer and attached to the end of a collapsable wooden arm, which is seen in every image.  The figure at the top of the stick is the photographer (me).
